Structural/Misc. Steel Tekla Detailer

R.K. Steel, Inc. is a growing Structural/Misc. Steel AISC Certified Fabricator that is seeking a Structural Steel Detailer experienced with Tekla Structures. This is an in-house position to join our current team of AutoCAD and Tekla Detailers/Checkers, while also supplying support and training with advanced knowledge in Tekla.
Job Requirements
Must be a detail oriented individual that can accurately and efficiently complete projects within a certain time period while also working closely with Project Managers and others in the Detailing Department.
- 4
years experience with Tekla 3D Modeling Software.
- 4-8
years experience in the Structural and Misc. Steel Industry.
- Knowledge of AISC standards and connections.
- Model steel structures within Tekla and perform self-checking procedures, while also possibly checking other detailers work.
- Modify model as needed after review from checkers and approvals.
- Ability to produce shop assembly/parts drawings and e-sheets.
- Experience with modeling misc. steel fabrication items such as stairs and handrails within Tekla.
- Be able to handle creating and responding to RFI's on multiple active projects.
- Work with other detailers to either enhance their knowledge of Tekla and/or train new Tekla users.
- Capable of applying the time required to complete a project.
- Legal US Citizen and a willingness to relocate to Southeast Kansas.

RKS is centrally located within a couple hours of driving distance between Kansas City, Tulsa, Joplin, and Wichita.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
